PROTHETIC DENTAL TREATMENTS
(CROWNS- BRIDGES- REMOVABLE PROSTHESİSES)
CROWNS:
It is a system used in the restoration of teeth with excess material loss, where the filling process is insufficient.
The crown covers all surfaces of the tooth.
Attachment to the tooth is provided with adhesives suitable for the crown and tooth surface.
There are various alternatives depending on the aesthetic expectation.
Zirconium, full ceramic crowns provide the closest appearance to the natural tooth.
However, metal supported porcelains made with precious metal alloys can also be offered as an option.
BRIDGES
Although the first choice is to use the implant in the treatment of missing teeth, in cases where the implant cannot be applied, the bridge restorations are restored.
In the bridge application, the anterior and posterior teeth adjacent to the edentulous area are cut and covered with metal or zirconium supported porcelain.
REMOVABLE PROSTHESiS
They are prostheses planned according to the number of teeth in the mouth.
FULL PROSTHESİS
They are prostheses used in complete edentulism that occurs in either or both of the lower and upper jaws.
It restores aesthetic function and phonation abilities to the patient.
However, since only the jawbone and soft tissue are supported, they are the most difficult prostheses for people to adapt to.
Support can be obtained from adhesive agents available in the pharmacies and supermarkets. However, the most ideal is to be planned with implant support.
